If you want to show someone how much you care or to celebrate a special occasion, I can create a truly bespoke, one-off gift that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Please feel free to contact me or come and see me at a show.
Here are just a few ideas (click on the pics or use the links above for more):
If you're looking for a special piece to finish off a room or a gift to mark a special occasion,
why not consider a piece of textiles art - freestyle machine embroidery pieces produced to your preferences and mounted in your choice of
bespoke frames, whether modern, shabby chic, driftwood or chunkily rustic.
Pieces can be produced to suit your budget, or you could order prints of any of my work that takes your fancy.
Avoid ever having to buy a sandwich toaster again by giving the happy couple a truly personal gift.
Perhaps a piece of textile art celebrating where they met, a favourite holiday or their
first house together.
Alternatively, you could help with the decorations by providing the ring cushion or
bunting with the happy couple's names and that all important date.
I could also provide bespoke dresses for flower girls and younger bridesmaids.
Make a house a home with personalised, bespoke homewares and furnishings.
For the lounge or bedroom, a decorative cushion in trendy black or girly pink.
For the kitchen, I can provide a cosy for your tea-pot or cafetiere or a bespoke apron.
An embroidered collage incorporating handpicked (or your own) fabrics celebrating
special people, events or places would look good in any room.
Nobody can resist playing with a baby's tiny hands and feet. Remember those precious moments forever
with their hand and footprints captured on calico, framed and embellished with favourite photos
and embroidered phrases.
Time with the little ones goes so quickly. Help to preserve those memories by
decorating the nursery with personalised bunting, cushions or a rag doll made from
recycled fabric or even favourite garments that are too small to wear but have too much
sentimental value to throw away.
A family tree decorated with treasured fabrics, photos and embroidered phrases would also
make a fine gift for any new parent's (or grandparent's) house.
These would make original, alternative gifts for christenings, for which I could also
make a dress for the little one or her proud sister(s).
Brought up near the Yorkshire coast, I am now a Mummy and wife living in Surrey. I teach Art and produce my own line of art textiles for shows and commissions.
My drive and passion is creating quirky things from lots of different and unusual sources.
My two favourite places to get inspiration are the beach and the woods, where I go on long walks to blow away the cobwebs, become enthused with new ideas and (hopefully) lose a few pounds!
I try to source all my fabrics and materials locally, scouring reclamation yards, car booties, the internet and charity shops for just the right frame, the perfect fabric or the cutest button to finish a piece off. I mix these materials with my own personal touch of hand-embroidered proverbs, poems and song lyrics to create one-off products.
No two pieces are ever the same.
Please feel free to use the Contact Me form to suggest ideas that my work may have given you.

Textiles art pieces are fixed to mount-board and can be supplied framed or unframed. All frames are made bespoke for each piece or will be reclaimed frames, distressed or decorated to complement each piece (or your personal taste).
Frames will typically fall within these decorative themes:
Most of my pieces are produced using acrylic paint, which is not prone to fading (except in prolonged direct sunlight). For that reason, it is not always necessary to glaze every picture - indeed, unglazed pieces make the tactile nature of my art more obvious.
If you prefer to have glass in the frame, then that is perfectly possible, but please remember that glass can add a considerable amount to the weight of large pictures - worth bearing in mind when thinking about how and where to hang it!
